Barbell Strength and Power

Strength is the basal bio-motor ability upon which ALL other abilities rely.

As Mark Rippetoe once said: “Strong people are generally more useful and harder to kill.”

No matter what your fitness or life goals, it’s likely that you could benefit from more strength, speed and power. It’s also likely that you could benefit from better technique in the classic lifts. And that’s what this group workout is all about. Making long term progress in the Olympic lifts as well as basic strength lifts, and conditioning oneself with supplementary exercises.

This class is based on our coaches combined years of experience in the High School and Collegiate weight room setting: it’s an evidence based and practical approach to making people stronger and more powerful. It is open to ALL members of the gym who have completed fundamentals or whom have current 1RM data for the following lifts:

Snatch

Clean and Jerk

Front & Back Squat

Press

Bench

Deadlift

This class is currently offered Monday, Wednesday and Friday nights from 5:45 to 6:45pm. Check the schedule or online store HERE to register for class or become a member of Full Circle.
